yesterday was midsummer...

will add more to this post tomorrow... I just got home from the country... dead tired...

...Had a gorgeous midsummer! The weather was adventurous, with sun showers and rainbows… I could not have asked for lovelier conditions! For the non Swedes reading this… midsummer here involves dressing a maypole with flowers and birch leaves and dancing silly little dances around it (for fertility, historically). I traditionally celebrate it in the country at this old farmhouse from the 1600… so rich in atmosphere! From the BBQ in the valley to the barn dance, and soccer under the midnight sun…
The country, by it’s nature, being the middle of nowhere… is not without it’s... mysteries… like why did someone dump a whole sack of potatoes near the bridge… no matter, we found good use for them… well at least my friend Karen did…
