A Zoe in the wilderness

I got really excited about this weeks Illustration Friday theme ’wilderness’ - the wild places are close to my heart and I started to dream up lush foliage and how I could infuse it with bunnies. In the end it was Zoe who took me to one of her favourite haunts - I hope I did it justice.

Beautiful! As always your work and sense of positive to negative space stuns me. Love the use of branches as the negative in this! Just like peering through the woods!

I wanted to say something about your comment but my thoughts were erased by the beauty of your illustrations. I just can't get over them. They are all fantastic!

Once again, your (Zoe´s) world is a maze (ing)! I am intrigued by how the hill-side looks like a thumb-print. I can totally understand why it´s Zoe´s favorite spot! And I agree with Amy C, the framing is awesome!

Thanks everybody! I really appreciate the comments!

Stefania, I drew this mars professional ink pens.

Ces, I'm blushing!

Spindelmaker, I thought about that too... it's a new pattern I'm trying out... it has lovely optical qualities in the right proportions.

Take care all of you!
Hugs!

This is truly fantastic, Emily. The play on white space is masterly. The waterfall, the reflected light … all of it is just stunning.

Oh, Emily! I think my pupils must dilate 10x larger whenever I come here. Your play of patterns and white spaces is excellent. Brilliant rendering of water, and those spiky bramble bushes are WOW!
