He liked to be a bit detached from the colony… as long as he could still keep an eye on them.

I've actually dreamed of being a part of a village like this, but I'm not sure I could draw it as well as you did from my head to paper. Great great drawing. Love it. Maybe I should at least try to illustrate the village in my head.
