"they taste sugary!" Dante exclaimed ... (part 3)

By lunchtime the water was knee deep and they looked to have reached a dead end. The canyon walls here were covered in large clear crystals swords tearing through the coral and splitting the curtains of waterfalls into threads, it was both beautiful and horrifying!
They taste sugary! Dante exclaimed his little pink tongue still stuck to one of the crystals.
