enter with caution, little bunnies

still not a princess

Spent this weekend in the country - where I saw this little prince of a toad. Isn’t he just the bees’ knees?
Oh! And the new Zoe and Dante illustration should be up later today. I’m just finishing off the last strokes - wish me luck.

big ideas come in small packages

Did some brainstorming for the IF theme this week 'wrapped'. I experimented with the textures of wrapped materials such as plastics, paper - banana leaves. The process gave fruit to, hopefully, a great new addition to the Zoe and Dante saga so stay tuned. Well, back to drawing now - Cheers!

Tokoekas riddled cave

The bird island is riddled with caves, but the cave Tokoeka lives in is something special! At its foot the sea sweeps in, dark and rich with fish. Higher up, there are many rooms to explore - even one mysteriously filled with buckets of water.

When you get tiered of exploring, you can settle in the reading nook with a book or just lean back and have a rest.

Tokoeka is usually busy is inventing but when he’s not you may find him dreaming away on one of the caves perilous ledges. Last but not least, what would any respectable cave-lair be if it was not topped by a craggy yet practical lookout tree? I hope you enjoyed our guided tour, and come back to visit again sometime soon.

new life

I recently got home from visiting Montreal… I had the privilege while there to witness the first days of my dearest friend daughters’ life. Here is part of the card I made for her first day home. Cheers!
