"late"… the tiny blue "strings" enveloped him ... (part 4)

© Emily Grandin
It is a strange thing to think you are going to drown, at first Dante struggled fighting the whole weight of the sea crushing in on him, a maelstrom of bubbles rising to reveal the canyon returned to its watery depths. The plants sway, pulsing back to life in a turbulent dance under the flickering lights of a rippling surface above, and then Dantes lungs no longer burned...

I'm tickled pink! Jellyfish are absolutely mesmerizing, like your illustrations. I could look at them all day. How fun it would be to ride around in a jellyfish! Can't wait until the next installment!

Love it. Love it. Love it.
Can't believe I haven't stumbled across your IF submissions earlier (random searching). I could get lost in every one of your richly detailed, whimsical, textured bunny illustrations. I love the angst. Your imagery walks a neat tight rope of emotions between "everything is ok. What a grand adventure." and "disaster lurks behind every corner". Edward Gorey comes to mind.
I wish I were as prolific and as passionate about singular themes as you are.
